Inspection Trips
Velluto travels to see product firsthand. These are trade inspections and product-development meetings — the purpose is to judge whether something belongs in a client itinerary, and to understand how it is actually booked.
None Currently Published
No trip windows are published at present. We publish a region and date window here only once travel is actually booked, because a meeting request commits a partner’s time as much as ours.
Partners are welcome to introduce themselves at any point. Enquiries received between trips inform where we travel next, and we hold them against the regions we are actively building.
What a Visit Involves
Property visit
A walk-through with someone who knows the property commercially — rooms or units actually sold to our travelers, the arrival experience, and the spaces a guest would spend time in.
Product conversation
A working discussion of what is bookable: formats, capacity, duration, seasonality, languages, and how an experience is best sequenced inside a longer itinerary.
Commercial review
Trade terms, booking contact, response expectations, deposit and cancellation policy, and how amendments are handled once a client is travelling.
Tasting or experience
Where relevant, the experience itself — assessed as a product a client would pay for, not as hospitality extended to an advisor.
From You
- A named booking contact and stated response time
- Current trade rate sheet, commission or net-rate terms, and payment process
- Plain-language product descriptions with duration, capacity, and inclusions
- Accessibility, dietary, child, and mobility information
- Cancellation, weather, and force-majeure policies
- A current, licensed image library and accurate travel times
From Us
- A written fit memo — where we believe the product suits our travelers, and where it does not
- Direct feedback on trade-readiness gaps that block advisor bookings
- Inclusion in Velluto’s internal product library when there is a genuine fit
- Consideration for future itineraries as matching client briefs arrive
What a Visit Is Not
A meeting, a stay, or a hosted experience does not guarantee bookings, inclusion in an itinerary, or favourable public coverage. Velluto does not publish property scores or reviews, and hosting does not purchase an opinion.
These visits are product sourcing for our own clients. They are not a paid consulting engagement, not an audit, and not a certification — any of which would be contracted separately and described as such.
To be considered for a future trip, introduce your property or region through the partner enquiry.
